Words of Wisdom

From the great Alberto Salazar (quoted in the most recent issue of  Running Times), once one of the world's great runners but now one of the running world's great coaches:
There has to be one best way of running. It's got to be like a law of physics. [A runner] can't be a heel-striker and expect to run as good as the best forefoot runners. You can be efficient for a while with bad form—maybe with a low shuffle stride—but eventually that's not good for your body.
To which I can only add, "Amen."
